HEALTH GUARANTEE
Below you will find our Health Guarantee for all Puppies Purchased from Holly Hills Labradors. We ask that you take the time to look over this guarantee and familiarize yourself with it prior to purchasing a puppy from us. We take the Health of all of our dogs, both grown and puppies, seriously and do everything possible to ensure that we are providing Healthy, Happy and Safe Homes for all of our Labradors. We recognize that your puppy will be a part of your family, as all of our dogs are to us, so we strive to only produce healthy, happy, and well-socialized puppies. ALL of our puppies are Guaranteed Full Blooded, AKC Registered Labrador Retrievers. By signing this agreement upon pickup of your puppy, you acknowledge that you have read this agreement and understand the terms set forth with this Health Guarantee. This Guarantee is to the original buyer only.
GUARANTEE OF GOOD HEALTH
We guarantee your puppy to be in good health at the time of sale. We guarantee, upon the date of purchase, that your puppy is current on all vaccinations and worming recommended for the puppy’s age. You hereby agree to have your puppy receive a wellness checkup from your Veterinarian at your expense within 72 hours of pickup of your puppy. Your records of the initial checkup shall be kept in case of a question about the health of the puppy.
HIP DYSPLASIA & ELBOW DYSPASIA GUARANTEE
Hip Dysplasia & Elbow Dysplasia, and other joint problems have been attributed to be likely the result of environmental factors (50%) as well as a result of genetics (50%). We cannot guarantee your puppy’s hips or elbows against any form of dysplasia that is attributable to any non-genetic cause. WE DO GUARANTEE YOUR PUPPY TO BE FREE FROM ANY GENETICALLY CAUSED HIP or ELBOW DYSPLASIA FOR A PERIOD UP TO 25 MONTHS OF AGE. We do not guarantee your puppy will obtain any particular (OFA) rating, as there are numerous environmental factors, such as diet, exercise, injury, or breeding, that would affect such a rating. If either Hip or Elbow Dysplasia is suspected in the dog in question, the owner must receive a preliminary OFA Exam on the hips or elbows before the age of 15 months. The results of the exam must be sent to us before the dog reaches the age of 18 months. The dog must then obtain a final OFA rating at 24 months. Your veterinarian must send us a copy of the X-rays as well as a copy of the OFA report indicating either Hip or Elbow Dysplasia. The dog in question, if female, must have never been bred.
In the unlikely event that your puppy is determined to suffer from either Hip or Elbow Dysplasia, we at OLD NORTH STATE KENNELS agree to your choice of the following:
- We agree to refund half your purchase price of the dog in question and permit you to keep your dog. In the event you choose to keep your dog, you shall be responsible for all diagnostic and veterinary charges for the care of your dog. The dog must be spayed or neutered at your cost to prevent breeding.
- We agree to provide you with a replacement dog from a comparable litter and take the dog in question back from the purchaser. Holly Hills Labradors shall not be responsible for any transportation costs.
If it has been determined by the breeder or the breeder’s veterinarian that the dog in question has suffered from anything that affects the well-being of the puppy, such as abuse, neglect, excessive weight gain, trauma, malnourishment, or breeding, then this Health Guarantee is null and void. We take great pride in producing exceptional Labrador Retriever puppies and make every effort possible to ensure that they are healthy and free from any genetic defects.
When registering your puppy with the AKC, the prefix HHL must appear before his/her name.
